Default ARP GT Mirrors; I need help

I've recently bought a 01 with the APR GT carbon mirrors, does anyone have any experience on how to keep these mirrors from spinning like a top. I haven't found anything on the net so far on adjustment or tightening them down.

Is it spinning loose from the top bolt or the mount on the door?

the top bolt on the mirror keeps it tight. be careful though they are pretty small screws and easy to strip. the nut built into the rod base keeps the rod part tight. it has a set screw in it thats also easy to strip. i think the easiest way is to try and get them fairly close, then sit in the car and have someone tighten the bolts while they adjust them. i have to tighten mine occasionally, im not a huge fan of the design to be honest

My problem is with the door mount, I took a quick look at them this morning before I left for work, it seems that the previous owner has replaced the set screw on one side so it may be stripped. I'm off tomorrow so maybe I can get some time to work on them. I saw on one thread that superglue was used in the ball joint, has anyone else heard of, or tried this?

It doesn't matter. You can't see anything out of them anyway

Tighten them down today, the previous owner replaced the set screw with a small regular screw that sticks out, looks bad but it holds, he must have lost the set screw.
I'm all good for now, if I can get the dealership to give me the right crush washers for the trans and diff. I have the fluid drained from the trans, the previous washer is damaged, the washers from the dealership are the wrong ones. So she'll have to sit until next weekend. Maybe not so good after all.
