Default tightning side mirrors?

my right side mirror is loose. How do I tighten it. I'm afraid to push it in because I don't know if they move in like some cars do.
Any one ever have this similar problem?

Thanks

Never had one get loose,, the stock mirror housings definitely move (swivel significantly) both fwd and aft though. So wiggle away.

Up in the FAQ's section of the 'Technical' sub-forum there is a set of DIY instruction for installing Carbon Fiber mirrors. you could try PM'ing anyone on that thread to ask about the mirror housing internals. My gut instinct says the actual mirror surface is removable and there should be a nut in there you can tighten, but I'd certainly try to ask someone who has had one apart first.
Good luck!

You need to be more specific about where's it's loose (we're not fortune tellers). If it's the glass part, it could be that one of the remote cable ends is damaged or broken. If it's the part that swivels fore and aft, there isn't much you can do but try stuffing some thin foam in the space or buy a new mirror. If it's the whole mirror assembly where it's attached to the car, you can take apart the black plastic triangle to get at the bolts underneath to tighten them up.

I agree. I have switched mirrors a couple of times over the years. I remembered my OEM mirrors being a bit loose. I tightened the 3 bolts on the inside just a little and found out at the time that they were loose and that actually stock my shaking. Thats a simple fix though. Dont tighten them too much or you will bend your door panel. This is also a common problem when installing aftermarket mirrors. Make sure you watch the door as you tighten.

As a "guest" you have no photo album here to use. You'd have to either buy a membership or get an outside photo hosting site to keep your photos. This site must allow outside linking. Then you can link them here using the "image" tags as per in the forum FAQs.
