Default Back Yard Special Seat Rails?

I'm thinking about getting some back yard special low mount rails for my car and I found a cheap set on Ebay ( http://www.ebay.com/itm/251059851740...#ht_500wt_1204 ). I'm not sure if I should get a bucket seat instead though. I want to get really low. I might do one or two autocrosses this year, besides that it'll be all street driving. What do you guys think?

I'm personally not a fan of super low seats in a street car. If you want ultimate low-ness, then a fixed back bucket seat with high mounting slots and a low mount bracket will do the trick. Bride Low Max, Buddy Club, etc.

i have the BYS rail and it is great. The only downside is that it lowers the factory seat low enough that the bottom of it scrapes on the carpet and it is therefore harder to move back and forth.

I like the bys rail as well. I'm only 5"7 and enjoy the lowered seat. you don't need to be 6" plus to enjoy the benefits

now since you posted it on here, you probably raised the price by $100. good luck battling the rest of us on ebay.

you should just get it and try it out for yourself, it's one of those things that you'll just have to bite the bullet. if it's still not enough, then you could go and find the bucket seat/rail combo that might work for you.

i have a stock low mount seat rail.

i like it. it keeps my legs from hiting the wheel.

i also think that the s2000 should have come like this from the factory.

I'm 6 foot and had a bys rail. I guess it was nice sitting lower but not enough to pass the broomstick. Had a asm seat with low rail which sat much lower. Sold the bys rail & back to stock now. It's all personal preference.
