Thumbs up Backyard Special License plate bracket

so the product is the BYS license plate bracket. it was purchased so that i could achieve the angled license plate look. well turns out i made a "duh-mass" move because i didn't realize that its for JDM plates. well so now i'm stuck with an expensive hunk of metal thats useless to me. as of now it seems that i might have to drill holes into my plate if i want to use this stupid bracket.

Has anyone ever run into this problem? and what was done to solve this issue?

im going to give myself a for not reading carefully before buying.

Sorry I can't help, but you should get rick's bracket instead.

http://www.ricks2k.com/products/plateholder.php

You could probably get some brackets from home depot and make your bys work.

I have the same BYS Bracket and I cut my liscense plate to use it. I knew I would have to do it, sense it was from a Japenese Manufacture and they never made a US version. (I actually bought it from someone who got it and did not want to drill holes in the liscense plate )

Take a drill to the liscense plate = problem solved

Also get some mugen plate bolts so you can lower the weight over your front end which will result in faster steering response

It does solve something, it allows better airflow into the radiator. One of the Best videos had a comparo between stock and no plate which showed a big difference, I'm sure the rick's bracket would make it somewhere in between.
