You are not the only one. I had a friend that worked at Pepboys. Tons of warranty claims on them..

3x as much as their bosh batteries.

I have been using an exide orbital for my GTO. It's been great so far.
I had two die on me in a year, took the last one back to costco and they just laughed and gave me a standard one, saying that they will never tell another customer to buy one ever.

u can search s2ki for odyssey pc680 and a lot of people run it.

i just bought mine recently after my battery couldnt hold a charge after 6 years.
I am pretty much leaning towards the PC680 based on its CCA and size. My plan is to replace the original battery with the Drycell PC680 and locating it behind the passenger seat. The size is thin enough that makes the passenger seat set forward only 3" from the back wall.
I will post more info once I do this relocated mod.

Just to clear up the DEKA models:
The EXT16L has the polarities flipped.
We need the EXT16 (no 'L') for the S2k.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the previous posts confuse this and even the pictures posted show a EXT16.

Both will work. I actually used both the ETX16 and ETX16L and found the "L" version to work best for my setup. I needed another battery for my Subaru so used the ETX16 for that.

The "L" posts end up in a better spot for my setup - I did get rid of the batt tray and made some brackets.

However if you use the OEM location then the ETX16 is better. But it's nice to get rid of a full 10 lbs when you get rid of the tray.

For those with the Deka ETX16, does it work with the OEM mounting brackets without modifications?
