There isn't a need to look for anything else beyond a Deka for the money and reputation. I've bought mine off Ebay for less than $60 shipped and they've never failed me. I actually started off years ago with an ETX14 and downsized to an ETX12.

I got the etx14 and love it, it stared right up like oem in 0 degree weather over the einter

Just put the etx14 in mine with some brass ring terminals for the wires. Had to use both height adjusters so I could use the own tiedown. What did you end up using Josh?

Going on year three with the pc925 in the trunk. Really a great battery. Sometimes the car sets for weeks without a startup and its never failed to crank it. Its was a little pricey but def worth the money.

Same exact battery I'm running (about a year and a half now). Mine is snugged into the spare tire area (tire removed) and I'm running 2 big JL amps with it (1000 watts total). Mine has also never failed to start the car, and it sat disconnected for about 4 months over the winter.

Running a lightweight battery when there is 30lbs of stereo equipment in the trunk?

No, running a dry cell battery so it can be mounted in the trunk...no worries though, the 30lbs of turbo kit up front keep the 50/50 weight distribution

X2 on tbat. The 35r under the hood nicely offsets the stereo weight.
