the way it achieves its flow is to reduce the size of the OEM cat by half, therefore giving you 43% more flow.

It won't filter like OEM but it's not as toxic as a testpipe.

So it's in the middle

the material inside my hfc looks totally different from my oem cat.

and the filtering is definitely not in the middle for my car (and i think the smell varies by car). i get maybe 5% of the smell of my previous test pipe. world of a difference.

I have an 07 with the resonator removed. Anyone have the stock exhaust, resonator removed, and the Berk cat? How does it sound?
Also, what is the weight savings of the Berk cat?

Ive been running the berk test pipe and I have no idea what this 'test pipe smell' is everybody keeps talking about, my car smells exactly the same than it did with my oem cat

Mine took only about a week or so but they have to keep ordering flanges to keep up with demand. I was pleased with the service.

I only made the comment about CA emissions because they (Berk) have said "If you live in CALI this is for you!" but I question whether it would pass.

I was expecting the cat would be a little less effective at burning off unburned fuel than the stock cat, but had heard people say no test pipe smell at all. I get some.

If you are happy with a little in between, I have no problems with the piece itself. It looks nice and is high quality. The question about the weight saving is about 8 pounds I think.

I was supposed to get three bolts and three nuts with the cat and ended up getting two bolts and four nuts so someone had a brain cramp, but that was no biggie. I just reused a couple of stock pieces and had no issue.

The change in sound is minimal but on the positive side IMO.

Do people who have installed this Cat notice any gains?
