I bought one from Bryan last week and pretty happy with it. Nice quality, much lighter than stock cat and good power gain.
Any testpipe smell?

No testpipe smell for me.

I have had a slight fitment issue with a Js header and ASM 70mm exhaust, the exhaust gets pushed to the driver side too much. Working on the issue right now to see exactly what the problem is. I'm sure it's fine for most people but depending on your combo of exhast and header there's always rrom for problems.

I just installed one on a new '08 Laguna Blue a couple weekends ago. I gotta say it is a nice piece. Clean welds, good fitment. The owner reported only a slight smell initially, and liked the butt-dyno results.

I only kick myself because I didn't see this product when my own OEM cat died 2 months ago. I might just have to buy this product and turn around and re-sell the OEM unit.

It's either your header collector or the flange on the exhaust that's off.

Install the stock cat and I'm sure you'll have the same issue.

i have the Berk HFC on my 2007 car for over 200 miles and No CEL!! very happy with the Berk HFC.

i noticed the typical new exhaust smell upon install, it went away after a 100 miles or so. there is also a typical smell during warm up from a cold start. this i consider normal for aftermarket exhaust/catalytic converter.

the magnaflow metal cat definitely has a larger weave pattern than the metal OEM cats.

I installed my stock cat and the problem is gone so there is definitely something up with the Berk cat. Bryan is working with me on it though so it should be all good.

I'm working with Berk on the issue and would prefer not to say anything until there is some resolution.

I installed mine this past weekend. Very nice piece. Clean welds, polished finish on the piping, light weight, no TP smell and the fitment is great. You just can't beat a product like this. Bump for berk.
