The stock limiter on an ap2 is 8k...fuel cutoff is @ 8.2k

Where did you get the info that it was @ 6.8k???

im talking about AP1... and you say they have more redline than ap2 ...?

AP1 is 9k. Have you actually driven your car? If your AP1 won't go past 6.8k then something is broken.

Yes...Are you letting the car warm up before you vtec it? You have to have 3 bars on the temp gauge for vtec to engage otherwise it will hit a safety redline that is around 6k for safety of the motor.

step 1: take a look at cluster, see where the red part starts at 9, yea, that means thats the red line


if your car doesnt go there, then don't worry about upgrading the ECU something is wrong,


If you don't even own the car, and are just going by what you think you have read on the interwebs, you better read again

I havent really driven the car to that level yet... But my friend said that he tried to get on it once and it bogged out at around 6.5-6.8.... I will do a little check when i drive it next time and get back on here about it.. thanks for all the info so far.

Go home immediately.....start your car and let it run for a bit to warm up....Grab your favorite CD and go hit the streets!
