is there any info on the install of all the parts that mount to the mugen top itself? It comes with some spacers for the latches and i don't know how many i should use on each side. Just got my top in yesterday i can't wait!!!

Any feedback on VIS or IIGQ4U's hardtop (http://www.google.com/base/a/SIIThou...94150317436507)

IIGQ4U is a cheap hardtop, but some of the weather stripping looks like it was purchased from AutoZone and repackaged.

Considering that to buy the parts separately from honda, the complete install kit would be around $1300... I'd question the crap that IIGQ4U sends ya.

no one has mentioned fitment of their top either...

Yes, truly great thread.

Couple questions Driven:

1) You've had the HT installed for about a month now - any leakage?
2) Any interior shots? Might want to add to the original post the interior 'finish'. OEM as I understand has a leather/vinyl headliner, while the rest are either Gelcoat or Painted.

Again, great post. Good to have something informative.

None at all. We had a pretty heavy rainfall about two weeks ago... and it didn't leak anywhere.
I washed the car after, used light hose-pressure, still no leaks. I read that any hardtop should avoid those pressurized car washes, since the hardtop will leak... so I haven't had a chance to test that yet.

[QUOTE]2) Any interior shots?

Driven for what its worth the OEM hardtop has wind noise around the drivers window.

I believe youre right in that it occurs with the softtop as well but the entire roof is so noisy it is more masked.

Went out of town this past weekend with the Seibon. I ended up hitting a MASSIVE thunder/rain storm between Flagstaff and Kingman in Arizona.

Massive as in, couldn't see more then 30' in front of you, wipers at full speed...

and not a single leak.

Also, my friend with his CR was mentioning some rattles he has with his OEM top... mainly from the latches on the front. I don't have this. Only a creak when I go over speedbumps at an angle.

Has anyone mentioned that the OEM hardtop is the only one that is finished on the inside. As in, it actually has a headliner which should equal a slightly quieter ride.
