i think people have a hard time believing that there might be a product that is better than Mugen on one level or another.

btw, what did the CW hardtop come with? any hardware? what did you have to buy to get it to work? I'd like to clear up some of the questionable stuff...

also, fitment, any problems?
I got my top from IIGQ4U. The price was great, the wait time was too long, my hardtop is shifted slightly to one side since there is no adjustability like the OEM hardware, the quality of the top isn't that great with chips and cracks along the edges, the underside of the top is kinda blah unless you pay more to paint that, the weather stripping was a joke I would get water in my car from car washes, I had to drill more out of the soft top latch to line up with the hardtops front holes.

The overall business transaction was a nightmare, I was told that I would get a prototype set of mounting hardware to try out the adjustability and fix the slight shim of my hardtop but never happened. Also I specified a clear rear window but got a tinted rear. I was offered a clear rear window free of charge for the mistake but that never happened, I wasn't holding my breath. For some reason my harware was delivered first, then like a week later my hardtop was delivered. I've heard of worse situations where a member got their hardtop, wasn't satisfied just by the look of it, and wanted to sell it, but couldn't cause the hardware wasn't there yet.

What did I do to fix it, I bought a used soft top frame for cheap. I used the extra latches for the hardtop since they are not supplied. I also removed the oem weather stripping around the front windows and used them on the hardtop. Now there is no wind noise, no water leaking and it looks more OEM or similar to Mugen instead of the cheap weatherstripping.

Pros, cheap and lightweight.

BTW I've had an OEM hardtop to compare this one to.

It is the cwings one but the dealer wanted 900 for the hardware kit which IMO is ridiculous.

cwest never made a hardtop. the top you have is a mugen replica. pm iigq4u for the necessary hardware you need
