lol just because seibon or cwings is lighter doesn't make it better or worth it for what 3 or 4 lbs, quality, fitment, etc. would be better than 3-4lbs in my book

thanks for the "no one gives a flying dump" comment.

camuman, not sure about the spoon hardtop. There aren't a lot of owners out there with that hardtop... It'd be nice to have an all inclusive hardtop listing... but it depends on the owners in giving some feedback.

Mugen Hardtop is dry carbon. I think most people who say its not are just looking at the finish (doesn't mean anything).

lol I like how you say that when a few posts above it you ask how was fitment etc. on a replica

Been many bad fitments of replicas only reason why I said that was that if you spend the money why not save a little extra for it, it even comes with hardware. There are plenty of people with or who use to have the spoon hard top. I do believe there are better quality items than mugen in some aspects but imho for the hardtop go with mugen as the finish is good and you can expect fitment to be there.

I'm not a oh no replicas but you spend that money peace of mind is better than a few hundred saved which you will end up annoyed as crap with fitment being off.

Seibon Hardtop Review:
First... don't buy from ShowtimeUSA... they told me it didn't require anything but the OEM hardtop install kit... wrong. It comes shipped with the hardtop and window only.
Also, I placed my order on Wednesday. Monday, the following week, they finally shipped it. Except... the next day, Tuesday, it was picked up.
So, they gave my erroneous info about what is required... then they sit on their ass waiting to ship it.
/vent about showtimeusa

Second... the Seibon only comes with the hardtop and rear window installed... and bolts for the front, side, and rear attachment points.

The fitment of the front latch bolt holes are pretty bad. One latch is perfect while the other is off by about 2-3cm. This allows me to use two screws for one latch, and only one screw for the other, so the latch can pivot to latch to the window frame catcher.

Next, since it doesn't come with any of the weather-stripping, installing without it causes some huge gaps. since I haven't gotten the weather-stripping in yet (read above), I can't say for certain if the other attachment points are good or not.

Finally, it does look pretty sweet on berlina... it's also very very light, weighing in at 30lbs with hardware.

Overall impression, it's lighter than the mugen, cheaper than the mugen, and has one latch that is off. is it worth $1500 in savings... so far, yes.

just received the weather stripping and side latches. The top fits much much better now. Still having a problem with one of the bolt holes for the front latch being off by a few cms.

So far, total investment is $3800 shipped for Seibon hardtop. Including all hardware to mount, top, and misc. hardware.

Took maybe 2hours install time. The part that took the longest was installing the weather stripping.
