I think the OEM hardware will work on that HT.

Does anyone know if an OEM hardtop with OEM hardware made for an 07 will work for an 04? I thought i remember reading somewhere that the defroster harness is different?

And hardtopguy sell the catchers marked as 02-05 and 07-08....

If it doesn't fit, can i buy the correct harness from the below diagram (below diagram is from selecting 2004 model on hondaautomotiveparts.com)? or is it the harness that's on the catcher itself that is different (see 2nd picture)?

if it's the harness on the catcher itself that is different, that's an expensive piece to get...

EDIT: think i found out that i need to replace harness #3. hondaautomotiveparts.com shows different part numbers for #3 harness when comparing MY2004 to MY2007. #3 harness has 3 connections, 1 to the #4 harness, 1 to the #2 harness and 1 to the side catcher harness. The driver side catcher assembly/harness and #2 harness are the same for 04 and 07. So by process of elimination, it should be the #4 harness in the picture that is different between 04 and 07, therefore replacing #3 harness should be all i need in order to put the 07 HT on my 04. Hope i got it right, someone proofread this and let me know if i got it right!!!

What do you guys think about these brackects? It'll take longer for you to take your HT on or off but also take longer for someone who is trying to steal it too. And these are much cheaper than the OEM hardwares.

those brackets look like they are cheap and will do the trick, but, personally, i would only use them on a race car like pictured. The OEM catchers and latches are SUPER nice. They allow all sorts of adjustment (left, right, up down) and quick release handles for when you want to remove the HT and use your soft top. So i think it depends on what you want. if i were building a dedicated race car w/ no plans to remove the top and didn't care about perfect fit, i'd use those ebay brackets.
