Thanks man, I've considered going that route as well.....until I see an S2k with upgraded calipers and the drooling won't stop, haha

Honestly, the easiest route is Spoon calipers up front. If it's something for just aesthetics, why make it hard on yourself to do all this custom work and retrofitting, and if you don't like OEM size rotors, you can use Ballade's 330mm rotors front and rear with the Spoon caliper up front. But at that point, I would rather get a used Stoptech kit up front with Ballade rear rotors. Also, aftermarket BBKs look wayyyy better than the other Honda/Acura calipers, so even better for aesthetics and no custom work required.

Another route if you REALLYY want to change the rear caliper with your fronts is either Sakebomb's Wilwood front and rear BBK or Stoptech front and rear BBK (though you lose the e-brake), and these options are pretty expensive if you are only chasing aesthetics.

Also stay FARRRR AWAY from Ballade's FK8 retrofit BBK, that thing is a nightmare and trash

Interested in why your opinion is that way on their FK8 conversion.

I'm working on the same conversion, but using a bracket instead of milling the caliper. Which would also place the caliper more inferior, lowering the center of gravity a tad.

So Ballade mills the calipers and apparently when they mill too much material out, they just fill with JB weld, not even joking. Not to derail the thread, but Ballade is a really sketchy shop, would not trust their work and most of their products

Are you positive they are using JB weld? I do traditional tig welding on the inside of the ears on the TL-S retrofit to make up for the strength loss of milling the mounting surface of the ears. The FK8 calipers are quite a bit wider than the TL-S brembos. I wouldn't even consider milling them as we have done with the TL-S calipers, there's too much that would have to be taken off in order to have a reasonable wheel specs.

If you want to keep the OEM 17" wheels. I did.

That's I have been told by someone that bought them brand new from them and tbh I wouldn't put it past them hearing so many bad/horror stories I hear from their services.

I like the look of the Wilwood. Have them installed on mine and they worked better than stock at the track.

For the price of the spoons that don't offer much other than appearance, I went BBK with Wilwoods in a custom color as I love the look of a nice bigger caliper also. I also went this route so that I could get better braking performance as the kit includes everything from Sakebomb Garage. Also keeping in mind that if I wanted rear calipers to match, that retains the handbrake, wilwood also makes a kit for our cars.

Check out Sakebomb Garage for a very well researched BBK that doesn't break the bank and comes with everything you need for a bit more than just the spoons.
