Default Carpet Removal

So I am starting to get big into weight reduction with the S2000. I searched all over the place and could not find out how much the stock carpet weighs.

Also, to those of you that have it removed, how does it look under there? I saw a Skip Barber Racing School Miata at the Petit Le Mans this weekend and it looked badass with no carpet. I would paint the floor black and probably leave the floor mats in or get Rick's mats. So post up your carpetless pics!

Unless this is a race only car, I'd pass.

With the carpet/etc out you are going to hear every rattle/crack and it will make the car look "cheap" imo.

Looks pretty ugly IMHO. Unless you are going to clean up a lot of the welds/areas where sound deadning material/ glue/ adhesive are and repaint it I would not advise stripping the interior. Not to mention if you do the cabin will be much louder than now (even worse if you have a HT and gut it).

Kanayama-san's (the ASM street car) S

the C-west and the J's cars are gutted but they just looks like a race cars (oil pump in the pass seat area etc.) but I think Kanayama's car looks pretty good
