Default Catalic Converter Replacement

Has anyone used an after market catalic converter? Our OEM catalic is so pricey.
Would after market high flow catalic convert cause the check engine light?

Thanks,

Berk has a Highflow cat for our cars. Its 250 or something.
Considering their testpipes have 90% no CEL's then I would think that their accual cat should not pull one
good luck

I have a Berk cat that I put on for Redline Time Attack races.... it works well and never throws a cel.

I would recommend it.

Have you considered the test pipe? Half the price, more power, no CEL, less weight. 7whp on a back to back dyno here with no CEL in 6 months. No "smell" either. Top notch product.

I will be throwing a Random Tech high flow cat on Friday. It's a bit more pricey than the Berk i believe, but it's the only one i could find at the time. But i will also buy a TP for chits and giggles when i wanna smell victory.

The smell is exaggerated by people who dont own test pipes. The only time you can smell ANYTHING is at idle, and all you smell is fuel very faintly. IDK where people got the idea that it stinks, dont know about you guys but I love how fuel smells. But its not as bad as people make it out to be.
