Catch can install (Right or Wrong)?
Hi all...Well I know there's alot of threads with info on this install but i read alot of them and from what I've read and seen on track cars ....EVERYBODY has their own "logical"/"right" way of installing these.
Now with that being said... I really hope somebody can help me...I recently installed an Injen cai on MY06 and i noticed there was a lil bit of oil coming out from my vacuum hose that goes from the valve cover to the intake. So I decided to install an hks catch can i had in my garage from my previous build. The only real reason i decided to install this... is to try and keep some vapor/oil from going back into my intake since i know i already get some from my pcv valve... I hope i installed this right and if i didn't... would i damage anything from installing this wrong?? Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you... Oh i posted pics of my install below

spectacle: So your saying run 2 vacuum hoses... One from the PCV valve to the catch and then from the intake mani to the catch can... And plug 1st valve cover breather hole and cai breather hole....Correct?
The right way is what spectacle said. The can needs vacuum pressure to work.
If you look closer at the picture with the j's intake it has both hoses going towards the can. But that's as far as I can tell. No real confirmation how it is actually plumbed. As far as the other picture it only has one hose (breather) going towards the can. But if you notice the PCV seems to be venting into the engine bay. That's not a good idea.
PS: Stop typing in CAPS!
