Adding a washer definitely is not ideal, as socal said adding two would make it sit higher, and i might get some adjustment by adding just one, which would adjust the tilt, but this seems like a bad way to do things.
move the rectangle latch part down towards the ground to bring the rear of the trunk closer to the ground?
