Zero nise or anything since it is an oem clutch. I am using the stock ap1 flywheel as well.
Glad to hear that, i was considering going this route as all the EXEDY cluthces feel much too soft.
Only thing i was concerned about was whether it had clutch buzz or not...but since it has zero noise according to you it just may be the perfect clutch for me

Yeah Starrman thanks for showing me the path not go! I do not want a switch for a clutch! I went around and around, SOS, and hardtopguy both swear by organic, OEM disc with beefy PP. The big mistake is get too much clutch for your car, you need to enjoy driving your car, you cannot dread a little traffic or a red light on hill! This article from the BMW family put the icing on the cake. Best article for the real world and not clutch company hype!

You are quite welcome! I hope you find the set up that works best for you!
PS, I should mention that the stock disc that came out of my car was in good condition, but a bit burnt. I think they will hold 350 whp rather well, but when you start getting above that you have slippage issues. I could not feel the slip, but you can start to see it on the dyno...or that is what my tuner told me? Anyhow, good luck with your search.

thanks man, but I am having second thoughts, I wish there was something just a little than a straight organic disc before you go up Kevlar or ceramic, BTW were you able to open the link.

Yep, it opens for me. I have been told by many folks that the OE disc along with a stiffer PP is the set up for 400whp or less. I just like to have fun and the stock disc just slips too much out of the hole...but that is the way it is supposed to operate.

great info guys...i am wanting my stock AP2 to slip a little less and was starting to consider my options. the car only has 27K on it but i do not like how much the clutch splips "out of the hole".

from what i gather, my best option would be to use the OEM friction disc and get an aftermarket pressure plate that is a bit stiffer that stock.

i would treat this like a clutch replacement since i'll already be in there and install a new friction disc at the same time as replacing the pressure plate. should i consider changing the flywheel too?

Also, is there any way to inspect the friction disc and flywheel without disassembling?

SPEC Stage 3+ for me. Holds beautifully under boost, light pedal feel. I love it!

I had a SPEC Stage 2+ for the last 5 years or so, about 35,000 miles. It buzzed from the moment it was installed and sounded generally like hell, always. It was very annoying, and SPEC offered no advice/warranty about it when pressed.

I hope yours holds up better than mine did...

This is after about 5 years and 35,000 miles. Only 3 track days, a couple autocrosses, and ~10 trips to the Tail of the Dragon. Otherwise just street mileage. My car is essentially stock - drop in air filter, light flywheel, CDV delete. (I got the Stage 2+ because at the time, I had planned on going FI in the near future)

My SPEC stage 2 also buzzes and rattles like crazy. In the next week or two, I'll be replacing their disc with the stock clutch disc.

Upgraded to ACT H021 PP, OEM Disc, OEM T/O, OEM pilot, and ACT Prolite FW and I love it. The clutch has OEM feel and the ULFW has made quite the difference. Would suggest all of these mods no doubt! Did this along with Megan motor/tranny mounts and it's like a totally new car...one that feels like a go-kart.
