The links don't work for me, but I'm interested as well in opinions about aftermarket clutch options. I have a S/C AP2 and I have the stock clutch slipping if I shift gears aggressively while in the 'Vtec zone'.

I got the spoon clutch, flywheel, and pp. Love it. Should have come stock. Holds up to 450hp I believe. Feels a little lighter than stock but much grippier.

A few more details. I just recently sold my completely stock AP1 that I bought new in 2000 and bought an '05 AP2 that has had a Comptech S/C installed (rest of the drivetrain is stock).

Trolling around the forums I discovered that the newer models (including the '05) it seems has a clutch delay valve that my AP1 didn't have.

Could it be that it's the effect of that valve that I'm not used to that I would interpret as the clutch slipping when I do a 1-2 or 2-3 aggressive upshift at redline?

Also, I would not mind being able to do the (rare) burnout (hey who does not like them ) in the dry which I can't really do right now because I tried once on the S/C car and that definitely resulted in me burning more clutch material than rubber. I do NOT plan on taking it to the strip, but I do want to be able to blow away much more expensive german cars at the red light once in a while.

Now, with that in mind the rest of the reality is that: the car is a daily driver and has to be able to deal with stop and go traffic without being a pain, and the car is driven once in a while by my wife who won't appreciate a heavy pedal feel or an abrupt engagement. I also can't afford to change the clutch all the time, I want something that lasts.

So given a mildly tuned AP2 (don't plan on raising the S/C boost or do anything else to majorly raise the power), and given that I want to keep something like the feel of the OEM setup, what would be the best bet? Should I stick w/ OEM and just deal with the fact-of-life CDV and lack of showboating from a dead stop?

Also is it worth it to get a lightened flywheel? How does it change the way the engine behaves?

And finally if I do bite the bullet and do the clutch work, since it's fairly large job what other things are easy to change 'while you're at it'? Headers? Hi-flow cat?

As for the spoon clutch setup it seems it's only for the AP1 (according to their US importer's web site)
