i have a FIPK and i love it, it makes sense..it's not expensive and people say you gain some HP, you cant tell with any of them, unless you dyno them.
It sounds like stock intake but on the load it sounds so nice, and my mpg has improved by at least 3 and my stock intake wasnt that dirty.

the problem is people are not pushing down on the box when screwing it in. see the 18th box that starts with the rear mounting bolt
^^^ this is the key.
you have to crush the foam insulation on the air c line.

no rubbing if you do it right

CT is a very nice intake, worth the $ imho

Or maybe when some people install this intake they just don't screw the bottom bolt because it does not align..The reason for this is because the intake kit comes with a bracket to replace your stock one to be able to put the bottom bolt and have the rest align. And as far as the hood stay I'd just take the thing off and get some hood dampers and not worry about grinding some of your carbon fiber lit to make the hood stay rod fit

My comptech icebox would always fall apart in the middle between the intake piping and the throttle body piping. I had to check it every time I got gas to make sure i wasnt sucking bugs into my engine. But it sounded pretty burley!

^^^I tightened the hell out of that screw. Even got a new clamp and summoned the strength of Zues. Still fell apart. But it was 50,000 miles old too.
