You might PM b18cls1 about the ViPEC...he's used it before on a DBW s2k.

Yep, I've had a look at the company that did the work but they didn't say too much about how they got there.

dbw is great its barely noticable difference with the throttle cable type. i can't see why you'd wanna spend the time/effort to switch but thats just my 2 cents.

You can use a MoTeC ECU. Pricey but it works. You will need the M800 to get all the functions, you can a plug/play unit for about 5,000 USD.

If you convert to cable, just get an AEM EMS and forget about the OEM ECU. You will need to do some custom programming for the sensors though because they will be different. This option will be cheaper.

I agree, it's excellent all the idling/hesitation/kangaroo problems that pre-DBW owners have are no longer an issue! but we want to go FI which for the current model isn't possible .

UKDM cars are all F20C (AP1) USDM went F22C in 04 I believe but didn't go DBW until 06+ which I think is when JDM went F22C and DBW..... facts are probably wrong there but it doesn't really matter .

We're working on a standalone ECU solution now instead as it's a pain to do the conversion but the conversion is definitely possible and I'm estimating it would cost me about

We don't want a car that is 2 years older than the one's we have.

And I may think about an 09 plate later in the year.
