Default converting an 06 DBW to standard throttle

Hello,

A few of us in the UK with 06+ cars are very keen to go FI but can't because as yet there has been no interface designed for the UK (F20C) DBW cars and as it stands it's looking more and more unlikely that anyone is going to do on. Mase seems to think he has a solution but nothing has materialised.

Some folk have discussed with their dealers the possibility of converting the electronic throttle to a cable driven conventional one but we weren't sure what would be required. One dealer seemed to think that all we would need was a throttle mount, body and ECU from an 05. I wasn't convinced but wanted to see if anyone has actually done it.

My intention is to deal with this, change the clutch then add Racelogic traction control and a Comptech/Rotrex S/C or Mase Turbo kit looking for around 400-450 bhp .

Anyone done such a thing before?

Oh thought it would be worth adding that I have neither cruise control, nor VSA.

Conversion is going to be very tough I would think.

There is a DBW car in Savannah that has gone turbo. He's using a stand alone called ViPEC. It will work with DBW...plus all his gauges work and cruise control.

Ooh that's more interesting, I've had a response from a fairly local chap that has done this on other Hondas

The list of stuff he says he needs is
ECU + 6 inch cut of the ECU wiring loom
Throttle Pedal + brackets
Engine Wiring Loom
Throttle Cable
Throttle Body

He confirmed that it's definitely possible but that it would be a bit of a big job. So it may well not be the most economical option .

Hard to see what's required here a little more digging around required.
