Countersunk Stock Shift Knob
I decided to countersink my shift knob on my S, my03.
I started with a small drill bit up the threded end of the shift knob and worked my way up in size. During the process the shift pattern came off but with a little bit of 5 min epoxy, and patience it came out perfect. I drilled it so the bottom of the knob was large enough to clear the non threaded part of the shifter.
I didnt have to re-tap any threads either.
I drilled slowly checking each time to see where the knob bottomed out, and after a few tries I got it so it bottomed out tight with the weave on the leather towards the back.

I've always thought about something like this. Good job in the outcome. I currently own a voodoo countersunk. The best, love it. You should post pics of the inside of it just out of curiosity. Thanks. Great job!
