Default Custom exhaust help

I am looking into making a header back exhaust. I would like to achieve a deeper tone to the sound, but still have a good high sounds when up in the rpms. Any good tips to get this. I really dont have any specifics on it yet. So any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

it might actually end up being 3.5". I might be able to get that piping cheaper the the 3" from a local machine shop.

what have you done to the car? The drone with a 3" will get old quick and you may start to hate it

3.5" piping would be pretty big. You might have underbody clearance issues. I wouldn't go with anything bigger than 3".

If you buy a muffler that others use you will sound like all the other cars with that muffler. I like the sound of the Hooker Aero Chamber mufflers, I have them on a super-charged V6 and the tone of the 3" exhaust is very deep and not to loud(no tickets in 100k miles). How will they sound on a "S", I don't know but I think they would sound just as good. Only one way to find out, if it sounds good keep it, if you don't like the sound sell it on Craigslist.

i really havnt decided what I plan on doing. But I do really like the Aero Chamber idea. I might go with that. And come to find out I actually have some 3" exhaust at my house from a friend leaving an old exhaust off of his old car. So that is a bit of pipe for free I can use.
