Haha, I like the way you think. I wouldnt give my drawings away either.

Although I wouldnt bump form the tube, I would just use a thinner gauge material and pull it around by hand.

What brand is your press brake?

I believe the brake is a whitney 10 footer not sure what the tonage is. I am an engineer and spend most of my work day in my office. I only go out in the shop to fix issues if any turn up.

Here is the company website...

I might end up rolling the cone center, all depends on who will help me create it.

Thanks for the interest everyone. I will have another update once my AUT plate comes in.

For those of you who havent seen my other custom bumper scoop check it out...

Shoot, I might have to copy that scoop. Good idea.

I've been using inventor for the last 4 years, I didn't recognize it with the black background. Its an awesome program.

Looks like changing filters will be a bish though.. Since now you'll have to remove the box somehow before taking the filter off..

Or atleast that's what I see..

I'd like to see a black version.. Keep up the good work man!!

This is def something I am keeping in mind. with the hole on the left I was able to slip the filter in diagonally until it cleared the rubber seal on the tube. Although the cardboard is a lot more forgiving than aluminum. I might have to increase the diameter of the hole or make the box a little wider to give me a good amount of work space to get the filter on and off. I have also mounted the horn backwards to get more clearance in this area,i think you can see it in one of the pictures.

This will be painted black

Thanks for the interest!

wouldn't it be easier to roll the center piece if it was even on both sides instead of trying to follow the angle of the filter? or does the A/C line prevent you from doing that? nice work tho! this is going to look/perform a lot better than the one that came with it

...I use SolidWorks 2011 and AutoCAD, is Inventor free? cause I haven't had any luck talking the boss into giving me a copy of SolidWorks to use at home haha.

Nice work so far!

Here's my version... Mounts to existing holes from stock intake.

Can't wait to see the final product

Yes my first model was a simple cylinder square roll but the AC lines do get in the way that is the reason i decided to loft the shield to fit it easier.

Inventor is def not free its at least a couple grand for a full seat of 2011. At home I have version 5.3 that has a cracked s/n but it is not anywhere near as good as today's stuff. We have 4 seats here where i work ill have to see what they paid for them.
