debadging
For the rear I removed the H emblem but instead of filling the holes in and all I just put the side S from S2000 emblem. It covers the holes perfectly and looks great and oem like imo. Easier fix if you just want to get rid of the H emblem.

I am in the process of shaving my emblem hole. The guy who owned the car prior to me messed up the area by using some sort of super glue to attach the emblem on the bumper. It ruined the paint. It also has an indentation in the area. I may also do the license plate holes.

You will need a new shopping list if you want it to be done in a professional way, 1k stuff should be reserved for very very low end job, with all the down time and prep, you'll be SOL if those lacquer based 1k stuff fade on you in a year or two

As to the adhesion promoter, would there be a case when that would be a bad idea.. like actually decreasing the adhesion properties between the urethane, flexible primer and paint?
With regard to whether to shave the labels or not, I say shave. I shaved the labels, the keyhole and the antenna. It looks super clean. When I got an aftermarket alarm, I added a trunk lid actuator to pop the trunk when needed.
