Default Diff Gear Set

Hi guys, i just got my gear set from M & M, its a 4.78, and when i went to my garage to fit it, he asked me if i have the whole kit. I said no, its just the crown and the pinion. He said I need the shims, bearings and everything to rebuild my diff. That is the way it should be done.

Is this true or is talking sh*t?

Thanks

Vince

You need the shim and bearings.

This morning i went to my Honda Dealer to order the parts needed, and i ordered one bearing and one distance piece. Now there is a spacer which I apparently need too, but there are 27 different sizes, i think i have to take off mine first and check.

Any help regarding this is greatly appreciated.
