Once you decide do get seat locks (home made or store bought). You should get a set of these , having locks without stickers is useless IMO

MY friend, the alarm installer, says skip the wheel locks, maybe seat locks.
He says a good alarm is the best. Will do.

Do not make the same mistake countless hundreds of people have made, Thinking it wont happen. Every minute of every day that you are NOT by your car is a chance for it to be stolen. I live in MD, near a very nice area but for a while Honda theft was through the roof. To the point that thieves were flatbedding cars, loading them into a u-Haul truck and tearing them apart as the truck drove down I-95 so nobody could hear it. Then when they're done...just push the shell out the back of the truck and go wherever you want. I've seen cars stolen from garages that had two cars blocking each entrance, Cars stolen from gated communities. It happens, EVERY day.

Take the steps to make sure it doesn't happen to you.

Froth - any system can be defeated. I don't care if you have a 15 digit code with fingerprint verification to run your fuel pump, it can still be defeated very easily. As you mentioned, a flatbed will have no problem.

I don't know why you would advise against a clutch kill switch? I mean, if you refuse to use a deterrent because you feel its too easily defeated, than why bother locking your doors? They'll just break a window or slice the top, correct?
My point is that lets assume a thief can enter and bust your ignition in 4 min. He goes to start it and nothing happens. Lets hope that this final hurdle gets him to bail before he tries to roll the car down a hill and pop the clutch to start it.

And while there are skilled thieves out there, think about that most thieves have limited skill sets. If they were really good with cars and wiring, they would probably not be thieves. But who knows anymore.

Funny you say that^^^^^

Friend and myself were arguing about this and he said he never locks his doors because if someone wants something they will just break his window, his wife disagrees. Well a few weeks ago he woke up to find his car was robbed and his wifes wasn't......he was down some change, cd's and a hacky sack

Seat locks for me, yes. Wheel locks (OEM wheels), no.

Funny , above statement about locking doors. I have a 91 Accord and my brother has the same car in a 2 door. They are parked within feet of each other, my brother leaves the doors unlockedand his car has been rummaged through 3 times an IPod and the stereo stolen once. Mostly change taken and CDs also the other 2 times along with a pair of sunglass's. My 91(in nicer condition too) has not touchd, the S2000 sitting another 10 feet away also untouched.

I worked at a dealership that had 2 S2000s, a new one and a trade in, both unlocked, robbed of the seats, steareos, shift knobs and both tops cut even thought they were unlocked. Both had a dent on the decklid area between the top and truck lid from climbing into and out of the car through the cut open top. Watching the video surveilance tapes they never opened the doors on either S2000, only the Civic SI(still in the wrappers off the truck) they took the seats from they did open the doors

Friend and myself were arguing about this and he said he never locks his doors because if someone wants something they will just break his window...

Miata owners seem to discuss this a lot, by leaving their doors unlocked, they'll (in theory) save their window and soft tops. However, the S2000 is a different story...

People will break into miatas to get the accessories inside cds, sunglasses, ipods, etc. The S2000 gets broken into for the car parts itself: seats, engine, etc.

This is all my opinion, anyway. I had my old 99 civic si drive away as I literally chased it. I had the cops on the phone with the tail lights still in sight. However, they found the car stripped 2 days later when the city of Cleveland called me to let me know my car had been impounded. Thanks.

So, I've been there and I know how it feels when your car is stolen. Again, the best you can hope for is enough deterrents that frustrate the thief into moving on to a different/easier target. But if they want it... they'll get it... Hope you carry full coverage.

I am buying a quality alarm with remote pager and a sensor that lets me know when the car has any movement. That is the best I can do, since I already take all the common sense precautions about where I leave the car.

From what I see there is a guy on here that makes and sells the wheel locks.

I know he makes you send him proof of ownership before selling but does he make a few different lock patterns?

They're pretty useless if it's only one key that can unlock all of them.

A previous s owner can be the thief or sell the key to a thief.

Can someone confirm this for me?
If there are a few different keys/locks I would def buy

I just looked and the gas pump wires can be accessed from the trunk, left of the spare.
There's four wires going to it. Two black, one yellow and green and then a yellow and silver.

Anyone know which is the power to the pump
