Just wondering where all this hate for CUSCO originates from?



The cusco held up just fine in this horrific crash right?

And its good enough for a very fast track built s2000 here:

Most of the bars are more dangerous than not having one for the street. More likely to get a head injury from one than have it help you.
I installed one in a friends car and was a really easy install and fit great.

For looks the ebay ones are fine. Very similar to the cusco ones which are for looks also.

Agreed. I would think more than half the guys who buys a rollbar is doing it for looks alone. From 10 feet away you can't tell between a Cusco/Safety21 rollbar from an eBay one. If you are tight in $$$, and who isn't now a days, eBay one will do just fine. Welds aren't as pretty but for a 1/4 of the price, what do you really expect?

i konw this thread is kinda old but..

what do you guys think if the "ebay roll bar" is re welded the right way, since i heard the welds suck ass , then what?

just curious.

my non professional 2 cents

its your life we are talking about, and a 'real' bar isnt that expensive. im glad im 5'7 and fit under the roll hoops just fine
