Default Engine Mount Issues

Hi all,

I've been looking for a streetable set of engine mounts for the s2k that wont tear and wont vibrate the car apart. Has anyone found a part that would work? So far I've tried:

1) OEM - both torn
2) Ballade OEM-style non-fluid filled - both torn within 6 months link
3) Innovative billet mounts with the non-oem style design (62A) link - the car is trying to vibrate itself apart, especially in certain RPM ranges

Hasport mounts, based on reviews, have the same problem as innovative link

I've also tried putting soft thin polyurethane pads between the mount and the chassis on the innovative mounts, and it helped a bit but not much.

Any other suggestions?

I also found a picture of these on s2ki does anyone know what these are? Anyone using them?

Also, has anyone managed to tear a set of these yet?

Oem mounts, plus an etd (engine torque damper).

This combines stock levels of nvh with protection from tearing mounts, and enhances throttle response directness.

I can recommend the Vibra Technics, really nice upgrade with minimal amounts of added vibrations.
Seems very high quality so should last a long time. Go for the street version though.

I tried Vibratechnics street mounts, too much NVH for me. I swapped in Spoon mounts and they are great after 500 miles of break in. MUGEN and Hardrace would be another option, these should have less NVH than Spoon.

Happy with NVH on Megan/Hardrace motor & tranny mounts with filled diff mounts. The motor mounts may or may not be the same as Ballade? Maybe try that combo and add a torque damper if needed.

I have Spoon mounts and sounds like they are just what you want. They cause a little bit more vibrations than OEM but IMO nothing annoying at all, and they seem to hold up well over time too.

Innovate have a lifetime warranty, which is nice. That said, I prefer Spoon since they're much closer to stock and just a tad stiffer.

Same, had the Vibratechnics "street" mounts and they were just a bit too much NVH for a daily driven street car.

ditto. A few locals ended up running a single vibratechnics mount on the passenger side (which usually goes bad first) and an oem mount on the driver side
