Default engine pulleys

im thinking of getting some engine pulleys. i have done some research and it seems like pulleys have some fans and some haters. can after market pulleys really blow your engine?? ive read threads from people where this has happened.

im not wanting underdrive or overdrive pulleys, im sticking with stock diameter. has anyone noticed a change in your car after you put these on?? also if you are running pulleys what brand are they??
and do you think the money was worth the gain??

removing the stock crank pulley was a pain even with the honda holding tool, but it came loose with a massive breaker bar. The water pump and alternator were cake.

I have ricks pulleys on my car....dont have the crank pulley because that is the one everyone has a different opinion on whether it does more harm then good....is it worth the $300+ for a pulley set...no save your money for boost haha. you might feel a slight gain i guess if anything but that jsut my opinion

Get a quality set, and you won't have any problems. Much of the misinformation regarding this modification is based on knowledge about old-tech engines. Fortunately for us, the F20/F22 do not fall into that category. The f-series engines are internally balanced and thus do not rely on an external pully to do that job.

Unorthodox. i have them and been running them for about 50k miles with no issues. gains are hard to notice, but they look nice. acceleration may be improved, but hp gains are minimal. if your looking for big hp,boost it! otherwise, these are a neat little mod. they are also stock diameter and about 400$ for the set.

I have the unorthodox pulleys too. love them.. like previous post say if u are looking for torque... look elsewhere. It does help make the shift feel awesome though and it looks good!
