Default Engine torque dampener

I've been in the market for a ETD, I see J racing sells them, are they any good? I have someone on Fb that is selling an ingalls for $250. Should I pull the trigger on the ingalls? Even tho that seems pretty high? Or go with the Js?

Can't speak for the J's, but I have an Ingalls and love it. I've got healthy mounts all around, but without the damper a full throttle shift from 1st to 2nd was still kinda iffy... too much movement coming off full throttle. The ETD solved that and didn't add any noticeable vibrations to the chassis.

It preserves engine mounts, longer life. If using oem, saves $ as they're $$$.

It gives much of the benefits of more solid motor mounts, with very little of the vibes. Attempts best of both worlds.

For track, or hardcore street, aftermarket, more robust motor mounts are probably a better choice. But for street this really is best of both worlds.

Benefits are more direct throttle response, crisper shifts.

BTW, it doesn't make engine wet. Damper, not dampener! : )

Yes they're good! You will feel the difference that the ETD makes to the stability of your powertrain. She'll put down her power better. This is assuming you don't have some proper stiffer engine mounts because those would do the same thing but if you're on stock mounts and they have some miles on them, the ETD is a good way to shape them up. Check out the NRG ETD. I prefer that J's Racing/Spoon mounting style from the shock strut to the engine hoist hole on the exhaust side of the block. I used to run that on worn stock mounts before I upgraded to Megan Racing solid rubber.
