Default Exaust question

Hey, just wondering if anyone could give me some advice. I'm looking at upgrading my exhaust, and along with it a header and a test pipe. Now I think I've found what I want, and this is what I think I'm going to go with:

T1R response header
T1R test pipe (not sure whether I should go with the resonated one or not, will I notice any difference other than sound?)
T1R twin sparrow exhaust (now heres where my main question comes into play. As of right now I'm not really looking to do much else to the car, and for a while it is going to stay naturally aspirated. In the future I may plan to add a super-charger but that is out of the question for me right now. Anyways my question is what size should I go with, I'm under the impression that it comes in a 63mm or 70mm?)

Current Setup:
Full showa suspension kit
18 inch rims
AEM V2 CAI

Thanks in advance for your help, and sorry if this is dumb, I'm very new to the car scene!
I'll post up some pics of my girl when I get around to it.

go wit 70 if you do plan on sc later, as for the tp, the resonated will be quieter other then that you won't notice any other difference, but I'm sure the resonated will be slightly heavier..

The s2000 doesn't get astonishing gains from any exhaust/header setup, so just go with your preference and budget...main benefits do come from weight saving...

btw i've never used any of the items in your setup, but a tp with 70 mm should be loud along with drone, but i love that!

thanks for the help, as for sound, the more quiet i can keep it the better... i don't mind the noise but i dont want it to be a headache machine if i go for a long highway drive

as for 70 mm, would i notice a loss in low end torque?

Hey there,

If you're looking to change the exhaust and keep the car as quiet as possible, I would suggest running the T1R 70R EM Dual exhaust. This exhaust not only provides huge gains for a 70mm, but it is also one of the quietest 70mm duals on the market. If you search around the forum, you can find the dyno gains on this catback exhaust and also user reviews. I suggest maybe contacting Evasivemotorsports if you are interested in the 70R EM dual.

For the test pipe, if you're looking for a quieter setup, you can run the T1R 63 resonated, however, if you are not too concerned with the the louder 70R test pipe, that will give you more flow since it has larging piping.

The T1R header is a great choice in headers as well to complete your exhaust setup. We've had customers in the past who have dynoed the header with their exhaust and claimed to have 7whp gains.

With a 70mm exhaust, you may lose a little bit of power on the lower end, however, the higher end will definately show a big increase in power.

We have both the header and the 63 resonated test pipe in stock, so if you need any quotes, feel free to send me a PM or call me at 604.279.0329. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to let me know.

Cheers.

Regards,

Jason @ AJR

thanks Jason, you answered everything perfectly! And I'll be PMing you shortly, just doing a lil more research. And I'm not in a huge rush considering my car is trapped in my garage for the next few months.
Good to know an online source out of canada too!
