I went to an exhaust shop yesterday and they quoted me $250 to do the uk mod..
are you sure? did you show them pics of what it consisted of?
it shouldn't cost more than $100. mine was $60
Showed them pics and explained it to the owner.. He said I could just make you a custom axle back $400..

I'd just get an invidia q300 for all that.. I'll try another exhaust shop soon, if not screw it..

That's exactly what I needed to hear. I think I'll stay away from the UK mod if my car is going to sound like that..

I've been running my muffler delete (straight pipe) for a few months now and for $150 it sounds less ricey than half the exhausts out there. It's pretty loud but I like it. It also has zero rasp. Freeways arn't too bad, ive made a quite a few long freeway drives with it and it hasn't bothered me at all. I recommend it!

Does it drone? Have you ever been in a car with the UK mod? If so how does it compare in terms of tone and loudness?

The UK Mod is actually starting to grow on me and I think it's because it's becoming louder. I wish it was a bit louder but it sounds so exotic and you can only hear it when you're accelerating.

I've never heard the UK mod in real life, so I can't really compare the two. The only time it drones is when you completely take your foot off the gas on the freeway (can't think of the proper term for this). But yeah it's really easy to control it.

UK mod is the way to go. It is basically stock minus the muffled sound and it sound alot more clear in Vtec mode and while accelerating.
I got mine done and I love it
