Default Exhaust question!

So im working on an N/A build for the ap2. time to order some exhaust. I want something dual forsure. BUT, does anyone know which exhaust makes the most power on an S?

ive heard the js racing 70rr, amuse, sparrow, so many different options. saw quite a few vids of them all on youtube. they all sounds amazing. i definitely like the purr of the sparrow. but the js and amuse make it sound like a monsta!

anyone know off the top of their head which aftermarket exhaust can produce the most power on an NA build. no plans for turbo or supercharging it guys, just wanna make a badass all motor build!!

thanks

audz

You're looking at a 70mm single for most power/weight savings.

I would factor reducing as much weight in the car as you can into this equation, will work better with an N/A build, so my recommendation is the J's 70RR, I believe it is the best power making single at the moment. If I am wrong someone please chime in to correct me.

70mm header back (or catback with 70mm test pipe) single for most NA power.

I have the J's 70rr but it is HELLA loud! and single. I love it but it may not be for you.
If you want something dual that also makes great power, the no brain'er is the t1r 70 EM! Has shown decent gains but not on par with the 70rr

T1R EM Link

**DISCLOSURE** on an AP2 with a 70mm headerback exhaust you ARE going to be running very lean. You will need to tune with at least a VAFC to correct that ( and make a lil more power too while your at it... Can't hurt right )

Getting rid of dead weight also helps. I'd remove your spare tire and tools from the trunk; helps save about 50lbs.

Hope this helps

What are your goals with this build? If it's truly power and speed, you may want to reconsider. A single exhaust is not only be significantly lighter than a dual, but it will make more power since it's a straight shot to the exit instead of the bends required for the y-split. If you go single, I would also recommend the J's 70RR (or 70RS if you need the ability to swap in a cat for some reason).

A single may look a bit strange in a stock AP2 bumper. If you getting an aftermarket bumper, there are some available with single outlets or caps. But if you are worried about form over function you are asking your question in the wrong place

t1r 70r-em duel has one of the best sounds i have heard yet, makes the most power for a duel and sounds really smooth but deep as well

Audz, you're not gonna squeek much out of the F22C with an exhaust. All of them are less restrictive than what we have stock but you're still only dealing with a 2.2L 4 cylinder. The power differentials between the different manufacturers are likely negligible when building an NA car.

Guys from the forum, you bunch of pussies turn to putty when a cute girl posts up a question that has been asked a thousand times before. If some dumb ass newbie male asked the same questions everyone would have told him to do a search.

Audz, do a search for some dynos of NA's with various exhausts. I suggest going to a larger diameter single to benefit from the weight savings. I used to like the look of a dual exhaust, too (had an HKS before) but the single is significantly lighter.
