Default Exhaust weight

I have 2004 F20C2 Europe S2000. I installed AEM V2 Cold air intake, and raced a friend of mine who has stock F20C2 engine also, and beated him at least 2 cars. Another friend of mine has 2008 F20C2 engine also, just installed Invidia single pipe (tip) exhaust, he told me the weight difference was hudge, anyway we tried together, and the result was that they were both same cars, in other words, the weight reduction in installing the Exhaust gave enhancement as much as my intake.

He got it for around $700. He claimed that he feels he reduced at least 50 pounds by just replacing the single pipe invidia exhaust with the stock ones. That might make sense, and hence I want to install one.

Can anyone suggest an exhaust that costs between $500-1000, reduce weight also by 40-50 pounds, single or dual doesn't matter. The less noisy the better also.

I checked the thread that shows all the exhaust specs. Wasn't that informative. Who can help me with personal experience.

I guess the main exhaust advantage is weight reduction and not air flow.

Also, does the single aftermarket exhaust weighs a lot less than the dual aftermarket exhaust?

In other words, if the stock exhaust (dual) weighs around 60lb, and the single aftermarket weighs around 20lb, while the dual aftermarket weighs 30lb.. I'll go for the dual since it will still look nicer than single tip.

Not too many lightweight duals in your price range. The stock exhaust weighs 50 lbs without the cat. The only exhausts that are going to allow u to shed 40 pounds are titanium singles, which are out of ur price range. Lightest in ur range would be invidia single, megan single, buddy club spec III.

If I got the Invidia single tip, does 70mm work fine on a stock N/A car?
I couldn't find 60mm single tip Invidia ?!?!?

also, just because you were even with your friend doesn't mean it was because of your intake.
