I have this on my03, the installation was not to bad , I cut my invidia testpipe in half removing the portion with the O2 in it ( I moved the O2 bung forward on the pipe). I went with a Race Ready Cutout ( Jegs ) , I used this brand because the three bolt holes are slotted to alow for adjustment/ Positioning of the motor assembly. Wiring was a snap( 2 Wires!!!), You will need a welder for the y pipe ( Pictured below)

Cut out ( The piece you weld into the test pipe )

Electric cut out

I will try to get some pics of it soon

This was mine QTP on the downpipe of my EuroDM WRX MY03.

The welding part is the QTP I inserted into my downpipe

3 inch of freed power!

Sold it to another enthusiates who loved it to the core!!

Boost spike is quite contained. Rev up like DBW's response! Power comes quick! Low end improve significantly! Top end not much of a diff. Too bad I have no chance to dyno it..

Is it too close to engine creating problem? Not at all! No CEL no sensory problem.. at least for my Rex. It sound so gooood with the boxer note even on idling! on the move? boxer note x 10! Loudness? x 50!

i can't understand why anyone would doubt this pdt. i thot this is so pop with the US market?

Personally if you have tunable EMS with diff setting at the command of a button, the best deal is to have 2 setting for OFF QTP and ON QTP.

A website i found makes a contoller for any cutout kit ( universal ) ,it comes with a remote you put on your key chain and they make an add on that alows you to set an RPM open and close point.

So you could have the cutout stay closed below Vtec and then open, I called the place they have tested with a hole bunch of brands. I've only had the cut out in for about 3 weeks and i just haven't got around to order the cotroller yet.

Just skip the intro on the page and then go to the bottom right and you will see the tab for the cutout controller

from what i've witnessed first hand on a couple different applications with these 'traps'.. is that when the butterfly is closed, there is still exhaust being vented through (leaking to the atmosphere)... and the sound is very noticeable and whistley..

eh, not worth the money... IMO
