Default fipk install on 06

Hey, so im installing my k&n fipk on my06 and i was thinking instead of drilling a new hole for the temp sensor, just to drill out a bit of the inside of the hole already made for the injection pump hose thats not needed for 06+, has anyone tried this? or will this throw off the temp sensor

yeah its fine. that is what most MY06+ do with the aem cai. just use a piece of rubber hose that will fit around the sensor and stick it inside the hole because the hole has a larger diameter than the sensor.

Just keep in mind though, the closer the sensor is to the filter the cooler the air. The cooler the temp reading, the less that timing will get thrown around. Just FWIW.

I don't have an fipk but, I'm disappointed they haven't made an updated version with a pre-drilled hole for the sensor. And what do people usually do about plugging the hole for the injection pump?

well i dont think an inch away from filter is really going to be that much of a difference with the air temp, but i tried just putting the air temp sensor inside the already predrilled hole and it goes mostly in but not completly
