Flat tow s2000 to the track!

That day was literally a "test and tune" day for me. I ran almost every session and was still not enough to fully dial in the car. I need more seat time and more sessions still. I made a front splitter for the car. I had NO IDEA that it would make THAT much of a difference. the car was way too loose even with the wing fully maxed out of its angle of attack. I'll be trimming it down to 1.5" and hopefully that will balance out the downforce.
On top of that, we were messing with the ecu to iron out the hiccups. We were able to get that fully resolved so that shouldn't be an issue anymore.
Yea, that little incident when I was under the car was caused by fuel getting dumped into the charcoal canister. That's where that gasoline smell was coming from. It's all resolved now. Weird how that happened though. None of us have ever heard of gasoline getting dumped in there from an off. I wasn't alone though. Another S experienced the same thing on the next session.
I was running rs3's that day. By the end of the day, I was never able to run a good time since I was testing and tuning and testing and tuning. plus I ran passengers all day lol so I didn't get any faster than a 2:03 which is more than a second slower than when I was splitter-less.
Hopefully, I'll be able to fully dial in the aero and suspension by the next trackday. Whenever that may be.
Lol! Wow. I happen to be running a little rich. Around 12.0 to 12.4. Did you have lulls in power delivery that you had to smooth out? I need to get some ducting into the itbs. How does the Splitter affect the car negatively? Does it make the rear more unstable? Or did it create more downforce that the rs3s couldn't handle? Regardless, it was fun out there driving with you guys. Hope to learn more!

Oh and I didn't break anything this time

of years now so my suspension and driving style have been accustomed to that. Now that I have it, I'm getting way more front downforce that I had asked for so I need to do some more suspension tuning and re-adjust my driving style.

Interesting. Can you post some pictures?
Now, a semi-reliably towing solution can be had for 3-4k bucks. I have 3k in mine. $1500 for a 95 bronco that doubles as my winter beater, and 1,500 for an 18' steel dovetail open trailer. But I have tons of storage...
What would you do if you somehow damaged your S2000 and it wasn't towable? I really think you are much better off buying a trailer.

AAA premium package. 400 miles of free towing flatbed. If I got a trailer, I would pay in storage what the trailer is worth in two years just storing it in San Francisco.
