Heres pictures of the airbox mod just in case someone wanted them.

You can of course do your own variation of the L tube, I just chose to keep the top part so that it can still direct air to the filter.
Hi there.
Could you tell me please what we can take from the engine doing that to the air intake?
Regards Andrew.

Does it work? If so yeah $9 is a hell of a lot better then $99
yes it works.... the metal tube that goes to it now, i had to cut it on theengine side of the bracket, but i left it in the intake side to take up the space.... i crushed the end of it i cut, and then i put a dab of glue on the cut end to seal it up.... i also had to modify the vent a bit, just remove some rubber on it.... but it pretty much goes right on... it does push up against the dipstick though, but not enough to break the seal on it...

does any of this make sense to you?

It does two main things. The first being is that is opens up the intake chamber for better air flow. Also by blocking off the resonator chamber you are increasing sound and not having air get trapped in that hole. The resonator is pretty much only there for sound deadening.

well, the resonator makes it have a deeper sound with the lid on.... blocking it off doesnt affect performance in any way, but it makes it sound racier
