Stiffening the front end on an AP1 helps with the oversteer issue, right? <--- This could be totally wrong.

they are quite handy to lean on when you're working on the engine.

Do they do much performance wise? Slightly but is it still worth it? YES
Paying a little bit for looks a bling is worth it to some extent.

I've read countless times that they're not worth it. I've also read countless times that when people take it off, they instantly notice that it had in fact made a difference. I'd only by bars that are solid one piece construction. People not doing this is probably part of the reason why they say they do nothing in the first place.

^i was also surprised by this myself, everyones consensus was that it doesnt make a difference. however, i had a 4 point t1r bar and installed it at the same time as my KWs so i couldnt quite tell what was responsible for what. i then chose to change the bar to a spoon to match my engine bay theme a bit better, and did notice that it was not as stiff or responsive upfront.

They do provide some performance, but not necessarily anything noticeable unless you are pushing the car. The front cross member seems to do most of the work that an STB would. However, it is definitely a nice add on for aesthetics and slight performance if you can get one. I got mine off a trade, so it was definitely worth it .
