Hi all,

I need to replace the fuel tank on my '02 EUDM, because it is heavily rusted. I've been searching for replacement fuel tanks, but they don't seem to be easy to find and are not produced anymore.

I've found a local s2k being torn for parts (which is very rare in my country) but its a '99. Does anyone know if the fuel tank is compatible?

If not, do you have any suggestions where I may find a replacement fuel tank (seems to be the only other realistic option is to get a fuel cell, with costs going over 2K EU that's a bit hard to justify)?

Looks like the "505" fuel tank is universal for 2000-2005.

Sounds like he already found one, used. Seems like it'd fit his car.

But he has a euro market car. Not sure those same pn apply.

I will say this, the tank footprint is going to match. It'll mechanically bolt in. Only potential differences are going to be emissions control differences. A fitting or something.

But highly likely such differences will be limited to the bokt in hatch where fuel pump goes. So use your hatch on used tank. Shouldn't have any issues.
