Fun with Intakes
So I have a dyno day planned this weekend and will be doing some experimenting with K&N filters, a velocity stack and hopefully an AEM CAI. I have an 07 but the intake is for an 01. Will the older intake work on the 07? I'm sure mechanically it's fine but not sure emission/wiring for sensors is the same.
Also, I'm planning on using the K&N filter part number RF 1048 w/ the 6 inch inlet and a velocity stack. Is anyone using this filter? I'm mostly wondering if it will fit inside the stock airbox. From the specs it looks like lengthwise it won't be a problem but the overall diameter and resultant height may be. Here are the specs for it: http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...x?Prod=RF-1048
Here are the specs for the K&N drop in replacement filter: http://www.knfilters.com/search/prod...px?Prod=E-2435
Also, if anyone has a stock intake in the Seattle area for an 01 I need one for a friend of mine. Thanks in advance for your help!
