True, the wood doesn't look "hi-tech" bit I was purposely trying for that classic MGB look from the 50/60s.

I was surprised when I got the OEM knob off. It's very heavy in weight compared to the wooden one.

Yeah, unless someone holds a magnifying glass to that knob... give it 3 minutes and you'll have yourself a nice camp fire
Really, though it looks nice. Do you have any other wood trim to complement it?

kenpo - No, the gear shift knob is the only chunk of wood in the interior !

However, I can always go back to the original if I tire of the wood.

For a new look I found someone over at S2KCA who was making wooden gear shift knobs for the S.

It's Black Walnut wood which I stained with Min Wax red mahogony.

Is there any way that you could send me a direct link to where I could buy one of these wooden gear shift knobs? Please advise.

Best regards,

Jeff

Jeff, his name is Johnathan screen name is desmo4, but he hasn't been active in a couple of years. I deduced all of this info from the post below the one you copied. This thread is from 2007 dude. If you're feeling lucky though you might as well shoot him a PM. Monk (the guy you got the pic from) is still active though, so if you dont hear from Johnathan, give Monk a PM too.

I'll buy one if this is still available. I had something similar on my first car, and LOVED it. I wonder how heavy they are.
