General questions...

From reading through a bunch of threads it seemed to me that the good majority of people on here were running the AEM wideband. I was wondering why that is as opposed to Innovate or any other brand of wideband?
On that subject for the people that do run widebands did the majority just buy a test pipe, take it to a welder and have a bung welded on or (for the turbo people) was it just build into your downpipe?
What are the pros to running an EGT gauge? Anyone run one?
Will a 70mm test pipe bolt to a stock exhaust?
What would be considered the best piggyback? For example someone not wanting to run anything too crazy (starting N/A and eventually going turbo). Why the general dislike for the EMU? I keep hearing people saying that driveablility or part throttle response suffers, but how? Herky-jerky, bogs, what?
Who else likes waffle? I love me some waffles

my wideband bung is actually on my downpipe just before the cat/testpipe
EGT gauge will allow you to see if you exhaust gas temps are rising, which can be an indication of a problem.
70mm TP should bolt to stock exhaust just fine...but seems like a pointless combination to me.
E-Manage Ultimate seems to be the best piggyback, but piggybacks are terrible IMO. OBDII cars tend to override part-throttle imputs from piggybacks
I hate waffles and am not really a pancake fan either. I like to eat sandwiches for breakfast.
Thanks for the answers guys
I was curious about the 70mm in case I do decide to upgrade the exhaust to something more wild later on.
EGT gauge is just something that I have been curious about because I have only seen a few people run.
Really just in the planning stage for what I am going to do with my S at this point, but I am leaning more towards nitrous or very mild turbo + nitrous. I honestly don't drive it all that much, but want to keep all stock features of it. Reason I don't drive it all that often is that I am almost always on my motorcycle instead (even when cold like now I still prefer to ride). Not to mention I have two other cars, so it doesn't get driven all that much. When I do drive it though I like to have fun and usually go on long drives with it.
Other questions I have are regarding the EMU. Like when you hook it up to an otherwise stock car would you have to tune it like an EMS? Or are you running on the stock ECU until you start making changes (this is what I would assume since it is a piggyback)?
Also from what I have seen the piggyback looks easier to start playing with as opposed to the EMS. Something I have always wanted to do. In the beginning I would probably only be using it to pull timing for when using a wet nitrous kit. But would like to have the ability to be able to put a basemap on it to get it to a tuner when/if I do decide to go turbo.

another bonus to the AEM is a lot of tuners are used to their software because it is so popular with the clientel. I bought the Greddy Ultimate, but my tuner said he was more comfortable with AEM and would strongly recommend AEM over it. Not my opinion cause I didnt know the difference. Meh.......more waffles please.
