Noob question, what does 70a or 95a and all those numbers mean or relate to the motor mount?

It relates to the stiffness of the mount.

I'm currently using the FBM/Avid Billet 70a mounts; from 1000-2000rpm it's like sitting in a massage chair and EVERYTHING rattles. Not a big deal for me, since my car is rarely driven on the street. Just something to consider. Personally, I would recommend stock replacements for a street car.

I had billman install my Megan Racing Mounts and i am 100% satisfied these mounts are awsome their stiff but no to the point my cabin feels like an earthquake is going on. I would recommend them to everyone. They made my car feel much smoother when changing gears and motor feels more alive, i feel like i am in control of the motor responds right away when i step on it.
GREAT MOUNTS!!! I LOVE MY CAR AGAIN

They refer to the Shore durometer of the rubber portion of the mount.

For anybody thinking about different mounts....it's all "relative" when saying if they do or don't cause more vibration and noise.

FACT: going to a 75A or harder mount will significantly increase noise and vibration. This is factual. This is why they have a hardness rating.

But it's "relative" as to whether it bothers you or not. Everybody is willing to accept something different.

Just like when I switched to the CR suspension, it was definitely much stiffer. But, within a day or two I got used to it and didn't notice it. Last week I had the opportunity to drive another S2k with a stock suspension. It rode much smoother. What I also noticed is that his seat had more padding. His was an 06 with about 50,000. Mine is an 03 with 160,000.

Got back in my own car and stopped noticing the difference within a few minutes.
