is anyone running a spec 3+ clutch kit??? ive read that the only complaint that people has had with this clutch is the chadder/buzz while deceleration. im thinking of running this clutch with a Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel that weighs 8lbs. heres the links to the clutch(1st) and the flywheel(2nd)....

I run SPEC Stage 2 Kevlar and a Comptech flywheel. There is a bit of chatter on decel between 3000 and 3500 rpms, it is especially loud the first 2000 miles as it breaks in. The kevlar clutch was a bitch to break in very on/off initially. The pedal feel is very stock like.

Unless you have an amazing FI set up on your car I don't see a point in going over Stage 2, which will hold up to 388 ft/lbs of torque.

right now I'm running the Competition Clutch Stage 2, and it's working out great for me. dtmcnamera has a good idea, if you do look at Comp Clutches talk to Chad, he's a great guy.
There is some clutch buzz on this clutch even with the new design, but it doesn't bother me one bit. I'm not one of those people that modifies a car and gets upset when it makes new noises or smells.

If you dont have the power to necessitate it, go with the EXEDY OEM. I bought it off of the vendor on this site - got it to me in perfect condition. I also wanted a faster revving engine so I did get a lightened chromoly flywheel - we'll see how that works out I havent installed it yet but I will within the next two months.

That is a sweet deal especially if it actually comes with pilot bearing, throwout bearing, and alignment tool... I bought an act kit on ebay and they dicked me on all those parts.

^Shitty deals. I bought my Exed OEM for like 300 bucks?! I got all the bearings, alignment tools, etc. from "Brake Options" - I think they changed their name though, so not too sure what it is now, but they are pretty awesome. I vouch for em anytime - they lost my order when they changed over the buisness, but they caught it on their end and shipped the item down with faster shipping @ their own expense.

I run a cc 6 puck iron man and 11lb flywheel in my na06. The engagement takes a little getting used too, but the holding power of the clutch is amazing. You can slip the shit out of it without fear of destroying the disc and the pedal effort and engagement are not much worse than stock. Mild buzzing on decel in lower gears but otherwise a kick ass clutch.

What the hell are you talking about? I am not the OP, I made a statement saying that the ACT deal is a good deal, you claim it is not, explain?

I didnt get dicked for price, i was screwed on the components claimed to come with the kit. I learn to find out that ACT no longer gives the bearings or the tool with the clutch kits. So if this ebayer is giving them, its a great deal, esp if the flywheel is included. Go look up prices on ACT's website then get back to me.
