Default Header for compact application

Hey guys, I'm swapping the F22C from a 2005 s2000 into a Datsun 510 and have run into some issues with the stock headers. The space between the engine and trans and the side of the engine compartment is very narrow. This means that when I attempt to install the stock header it impacts on the steering gear. If the final y (2-1 collector) were vertical or the entire exhaust was tucked more tightly against the engine and trans it would fit. Alternatively if the collector were at the front of the engine, just in front of the oil filter, it would work well.

Any suggestions, guys?

You are going to have to make something custom, or you can look into using any of the turbo manifolds made for the F-series and just block off the wastegate flange and adapt your exhaust to the turbo flange (or chop it off and go custom from there).

Thanks for the thoughts, man. I managed to get the exhaust to fit, but I will have to come up with a different steering solution. I figure it is easier to fix the steering than custom build a header that is as well tuned as a system designed by Honda.
