no soot? then again your car is black. my other car is blown and pig rich with a race header running to the rear axle (no cat) and i have to continuously wash that b1tch (white car)...

eventually the po-po is going to figure out that half the s2000's in the US are running test pipes and they start getting on their bellys to do visual inspections like in cali...

Ive been pulled over a numerous amount of times with the test pipe and theyve never ever said anything. The test pipe smell is waay exaggerated. My car has absolutely no test pipe 'smell'. Hell the cops dont even give me crap about my loud single exhaust.

Definately get the berk test pipe. I gained a 7whp gain on a back to back dyno with just the test pipe on stock exhaust and stock header. Costs half of the high flow cat and weighs less. Test pipe comes with a CEL fix too. Not one negative thing to say about it.
7 whp from a Berk test pipe alone? Sold!!

However, what is an alternative if i were to find a high flow cat? Not too sure who makes them.

the stock exhaust and header are well designed from the factory. unless going FI(400whp+), it's a waste to get either a header/exhaust. btw I'm running a Vortech SC with only a test pipe. it looks as though the stock exhaust/header are still fine. btw I'm at 395whp/259wtq on a dynapack where as others have more supporting mods, BUT less power.

Your right that it does flow well, but there is still more power to be had with a nice single exhaust. If he doesn't want to go FI he can still pick up at least 10whp with a good test pipe and 70mm single. Plus some people just like the sound.

You might not have understood: he bought the test pipe instead of a new cat, presumably because his old cap was plugged. THAT's where the 7 hp came from!

You don't pickup up 7 hp on a 200 hp engine by just removing the cat.

berk makes a HFC....I have a Kn FIPK intake, berk header, and berk test pipe. I installed the intake first, and felt a very very little difference. However, when putting on the header and test pipe with it, i clearly feel a difference...dynoed 215 corrected whp... don't have a base line dyno, but can clearly feel a difference with header, tp addition. I'd reccomend it. Also I would agree with the Test pipe smell being exaggerated. The only time i notice it is when you are at a complete stop with the top down or windows open. But how often are you stopped when driving? I've had the header test pipe for a week , and really enjoy it, i'd just get it dynoed and check your Air fuel ratio, as it might start to run a bit lean. I have a greddy emanage ultimate on order....which might be a better solution for you if u want some power , but don't want any noise. dyno with emu is showing around 10-15 whp and tq with stock parts. $1,120 shipped and tuned from ballistic motorsports... which is pretty much the same you'll pay for an intake, header, test pipe
